Today, I’m thrilled to announce that ZwillGen and LuminosAI are launching a new joint offering, the Automated AI Governance Package, that I believe will fundamentally transform the way AI is governed in practice!
Why am I so excited? Here’s the backstory.
In 2019, I founded Luminos.Law, the first law firm focused only on AI. Our founding insight, shared by my co-founder Patrick Hall and myself, was that successful AI adoption required a combination of deep legal and technical expertise. Data scientists simply could not fulfill the promise of AI on their own.
The law firm took off - giving us the privilege of working on some of the biggest, most complex AI systems in the world. But we quickly learned that there were limits to how much manual expertise we could provide and how much was needed.
In 2023, I founded LuminosAI, the first AI governance platform focused solely on legal risk, based on another key observation. Our founding insight, shared with my co-founder Mike Schiller, was that this same combination of legal and technical expertise needed to be automated. Our clients were overwhelmed with AI models and use cases and their lawyers and governance teams needed tools to ensure their companies could make the benefits of AI real.
And so we built LuminosAI to automate the way that AI systems are assessed and tested for risk - allowing our customers to quickly discover any liabilities in their AI.
Now, in 2026, I’m excited to announce our next insight, which I believe will form a major evolution in the way AI is adopted: today we are launching the ZwillGen Automated AI Governance Library with our partners at ZwillGen.
The ZwillGen Automated AI Governance Package is a new solution within the LuminosAI platform that delivers a complete AI governance framework custom-built by ZwillGen’s AI Division and operationalized through automation in LuminosAI.
What this means is that our customers now get the best of both worlds: first-class legal and technical expertise from ZwillGen and the software platform to automate it through LuminosAI. The ZwillGen Automated AI Governance Package includes custom AI policies and procedures, vendor screening, incident response plans, and AI documentation.
Put more simply, every company that successfully adopts AI needs to do two things: stand up an AI governance program that protects them from legal liability, and then make sure they can automate that program to ensure it is actually being implemented. And this new feature finally gives companies access to both in a single feature, allowing them to move quickly as they adopt AI at breakneck speeds.
